Where it began…

My journey into celebrancy began when cherished family members approached me to officiate their wedding. However, at that time, I wasn't officially registered. Motivated by this heartfelt request, I researched the requirements of becoming an Authorised Marriage Celebrant but unfortunately there wasn't enough time for me to fulfil the legal role for their special day.

The generous celebrant who conducted their ceremony graciously allowed me to play a small yet meaningful role in formally welcoming the guests. This experience was a catalyst and so today, grateful for the wisdom and encouragement shared by fellow celebrants and mentors, I am thrilled to be a part of a diverse and inclusive community, devoted to celebrating your life's milestones with meaningful rituals.

My Commitment

I will be professional and reliable at all times and will respond promptly if you have any questions or need advice between our official meetings. I am here to help where I can. My commitment to you is to make sure all legal requirements are met while providing a ceremony authentic to you and engaging for your guests. I will take care of due dates and reminders and I will guarantee your privacy and decisions are respected so you can focus on your Celebration Day!

My Responsibilities

Part of my registration as an Authorised Marriage Celebrant requires that I complete Ongoing Professional Development (‘OPD’). I am committed to undertaking the required OPD and other relevant professional development activities to provide the most up to date and highest quality service. In wedding ceremonies, there are certain things that have to be said and done; you must recite the legal vows, have two witnesses over the age of 18, and sign the legal documents. I must identify myself as your Authorised Marriage Celebrant and say the Monitum to explain the very important and legally binding reason we are all at your wedding, but other choices are yours to make. I am happy to provide some options - unless of course you have already designed your perfect celebration!

Ensuring I stay informed of legal changes and current trends, I am a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants.

Social Media

While having images for social media is exciting, this is your most personal moment. I won’t share any identifying images of you or your guests without your consent. I will ask permission to publish non-identifying images (e.g. venue and flowers) and respect your decision. If you have a preference that your guests not post any images I can make that announcement at the beginning of the ceremony on your behalf. Your privacy is my priority.
